Dr. Nomura was a research staff at the Research Laboratory of Resources Utilization, Tokyo Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1997 and in the Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University from 1997 to 2002 and carried out creative research regarding chemistry, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and material chemistry, as a research staff in academic institutions with the publication of more than 100 academic papers. Dr. Nomura also has more than 10 years experience in graduation of students in bachelor and master courses. On the basis of his high research activity, he received the Award for Encouragement of Research in Polymer Science (The Society of Polymer Science, Japan) in 2000. While at Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co. Ltd. (SEL), he focused on the development of materials for semiconductor devices, particularly organic light-emitting devices. Dr. Nomura’s high R&D ability is proven by more than 200 patent applications as an inventor and successful management of many R&D groups directed to the production of high-performance organic materials as well as semiconductor devices. In addition, he has more than 15 years experience as a leader of an intellectual group focusing on patent application and prosecution of Japanese and foreign patents and a translation group for improving the technical knowledge and translation technique thereof.
